Growing up, I wasn't ever really much for pink. (Other than that period of time when I was obsessed with Barbie dolls!) But in my recent years, my feelings for the color have since changed. You still won't ever catch me in hot pink, but I will definitely rock certain shades of the color.

Let's get into all the fun details of this monochromatic look.
But first, a list of my favorite pink hues:

Mauve
Blush
Rose
Salmon
Coral
Even this berry/wine color technically passes as a type of pink!

I usually seem to gravitate more toward muted shades. I love the sporty feel of the knit wine-colored material and bold stripe detailing in this dress. I decided to go with a tonal look by mixing in different types of pink with my accessories. The clutch and tassel earring are a beautiful mauve color while my sunnies are rose tinted. I adore this color scheme because its great for transitioning into the fall season.

When styling a colorful monochromatic look, here a few tips to keep in mind:

1. Choose multiple shades to stay away from a full suit look...unless that's what you're going for, of course!
2. Try different textures in the same color like silk, leather and velvet.
3. Don't forget to play and factor in your accessories too!

Have you tried any monochromatic looks? What are your favorite hues right now? I'll see you back here Thursday on Wear I Am for another post!
