It is clear that patches are everywhere in fashion right now. So there’s no telling that the high-school letterman trend has won over our hearts just like jocks did with the cheerleaders. Everything that was hot then is coming back now and, being a 90’s kid, I’m ALL about it. Let’s talk about my casual look featuring lots and lots of patches.

It’s only natural that I now want to start collecting these sew-on adornments. But thanks to PIIN, they’ve given me a head start with their patched up “Happy Game Denim Jacket”. I styled it over this Missguided basic button bodysuit and some fringed black jeans. I thought the fringe would offer a bit more movement and fun to the outfit to go along with the colorful patches. I’m really into mixing in a bit of high-end wherever I can, so this time, I finally took my brand new Céline mules out for a spin. And let me just say…I am in LOVE with these bad boys. They can be worn two ways and are so elegant with their beautiful calfskin material and show-stopping gold candle heel. It’s all about the details!

To finish off this laid-back look, I threw on a delicate gold choker, my go-to rings on my hands, and some edgy ear jackets from Luv Aj. These spikes definitely gave me those throwback high-school rebellious feels. Lastly, I threw my hair into a loose messy braid…and voila! An old school look with a modern-day twist. A perfect outfit for a day of shopping with the girls!

What are your thoughts on patches? Should we embrace them or leave them back in the 90’s?
