VINTAGE KENZO — Wear I Am

Some things in life are a lot like a bottle of wine…they grow better with age. A vintage piece is one of them and will always hold a special place in my heart. Maybe it’s the old soul in me, but I just love knowing that most vintage items have a story to tell that I’ll never be able to learn about. They’ve seen and been through things that I won't be able to experience myself…such an intriguing mystery! But the fun part begins when I take it into my own hands and wear it in my own unique way…tacking onto it’s endless journey of life. A vintage piece can never get too much love!

Last year, while on tour in Europe, I stumbled upon an amazing vintage store in Amsterdam. (They have the BEST vintage shops, by the way! I could get lost there and be totally fine with it.) And now that it’s “winter” in LA, I finally have the opportunity to rock this gem that I found overseas. It’s a vintage Kenzo blazer that I fell in love with the moment I laid eyes on it. You already know I’m a sucker for blazers, (anything masculine for that matter,) so this one caught my eye in a heartbeat. It’s such a statement piece with it’s padded shoulders and bright patterned color. I love that it has a peplum fit once you button it up. It accentuates my waistline, truly mixing the masculine flair with a sexy, yet sophisticated, touch. I went along with the classy bold look by pairing the jacket with some Alexander McQueen trousers and a pair of mean studded Gucci’s (the latest addition to my ever-growing slipper collection.) And there you have it…the perfect outfit for showing people that you mean business!
